Mr. Cristian Hernández is Chief Operating Officer of Andes Biotechnologies. He is an experienced business and science executive known for his scientific-entrepreneurship work in Latin America.
He previously served as Business Development Manager at Danio Labs Ltd. in Cambridge, England, where he tripled Danio’s European customer portfolio, and managed the company’s merger with Vastox to form Summit PLC.
At Andes Biotechnologies, Mr. Hernández has significantly contributed to the Company’s financing, general operations and clinical development strategy.
As a seasoned executive, Mr. Hernández has invested in and mentored numerous Chilean, US and British biotechnology companies. He also lectures on Science and Business at the Biotechnology Ph.D Program of the Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello, and hosted “Todo por la Ciencia”, a Chilean TV show promoting scientific entrepreneurship.
He holds a Masters in BioScience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge, England, and an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biotechnology Engineering from the Universidad de Chile.
